Ciao, welcome back to my blog!
Today's post is my personal natural remedy against body inflammation.
Body inflammation is a very common health issue: sometimes we are not aware of it but we are showing all the specific symptoms such as tiredness, frequent aches and pain not attributable to an injury, digestive issues, stuffy nose, skin breakouts and headaches.
It basically is our body’s immune system’s response to an irritant that can be in or out of it.
Allergic reaction, bronchitis, arthritis, psoriasis, cystitis and many more are all kinds of inflammation problems.
Turmeric and ginger have both anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties while lemon is naturally detoxifying and alkalising and cayenne stimulates circulation, boosts metabolism, naturally relieves pain, and can have an alkalising effect in the body.
Spices been used as a natural remedy for all sorts of illnesses in India and in the Traditional Chinese medicine for thousands of years so I thought: It’s easy to make, requiring just 5 minutes, 5 ingredients, and 1 pot. I would give it a go!
I was not disappointed: this tea has been truly beneficial and I could feel immediate results therefore I wanted to share with you this recipe that might help you to reduce symptoms of inflammation you might experienced in one part of your body.
It also is a great prevention against cold and flu as it helps to strengthen our immune system now that we are slowly heading towards autumn.
2 cup of filtered water
1 teaspoon of turmeric powder or a slice of thinly grated fresh turmeric
A slice of thinly grated ginger
A pitch of chilli flakes
A slice of lemon juice
All you have to do is warm up a cup of filtered water in a small sauce pot but make sure that is not boiling.
Then add all the ingredients, stir well and let it sit for 5 minutes.
Set a small strain on your cup and pour the warm liquid inside.
Too spicy for you? Feel free to add a teaspoon of honey to make it naturally sweeter but I honestly adore that zesty, gingery flavour.
If you want to make more, you just need to double the amount of ingredients and you can store it (strained) in the fridge for a couple of days and reheated it when needed.
Thank you so much for reading my post today, let me know what you think if you are trying the recipe!
Have a great weekend all of you!
