Ciao, welcome back to my blog!
Today I am going to share with you 6 fresh ways to style cream jeans for spring.
This time I wanted to play with another great staple from my capsule wardrobe: my straight leg cream jeans with raw hem and contrasting stitching in a lovely tan colour. I bought them last winter in the sale and I have been wearing them a lot so I thought I could show you my favourite ways to style them.
Why are they a key item for me?
I love the flattering fit on the waist and the bum thanks to the rigid fabric: it is a proper denim composition, no elastin, therefore they might not be as comfy as the stretchy ones but on the other hand, in my opinion, they look smarter and a bit more up-to-date compared to a skinny cut.

They are incredibly easy to style as the colour is suitable both for autumn/winter and spring/summer and here I wanted to share with you my best outfit combos for Spring.
3 of them will be casual, the other 3 will be a bit smarter.
The following outfits are extremely easy to recreate with what you own already as most of the items below are wardrobe heroes for everybody.
The majority of the pieces I am wearing here are old, as I have always preferred to invest in some very good quality clothes and I would like to encourage you to do the same. I also have some fast fashion items too, but almost everything I own is meant to last and to stay in the loop for years to come.
This way of building your wardrobe doesn't have to be very expensive: some of the items I have got I bought them second hand (in charity shops or via eBay) or in the sale!
Anyway, I have listed some similar alternatives, in case you will like to add some of my staples to your wardrobe too.
All the outfits have the same sneaky details to add an extra twist:
gold jewellery, a pair of cat-eye sunglasses or glasses (as I am as blind as a bat but make it fashion) and lipstick!
Mix items with masculine vibes together for a super comfy and practical everyday attire. The ingredients necessary are surely in your wardrobe already (if not, steal them from your brother/boyfriend): a basic stripy top and an oversized blue shirt which is left open with nonchalance.
Accessories-wise, a pair of tan oxford brogue shoes and a pop of colour with a slouchy mustard-yellow suede bag.
These fresh hues immediately make your outfit more summery and add a playful touch.
A relaxed, ton sur ton look consisting of a cable knit beige cotton pull, a vintage tan belt and matching khaki accessories. I am currently in a green phase and I adore every shade but in particular muted tones such as sage and khaki.
I love how the outfit is balanced and neutral, on the minimalistic side.
Office (or video conference call these days...) appropriate look with a sleek cream silk shirt and contrasting accessories to spice it up. Simplicity is the key to timeless elegance!
Monochromatic outfits are very strong in fashion right now as they are super flattering (they make you look taller and slimmer) and easy to put together.
The simple swap of a more feminine ruffle black silk blouse made the outfit immediately more evening-looking, even if the rest stays the same. No brainer outfit suitable both for the office and then drinks out (hopefully as soon as possible!)
Parisian vibes (I know, I am obsessed)!
The navy blue of the stripy top and red of the court shoes work together to add a bright touch to the neutral palette of the rest. The cable sweater I wore in a casual way above can be added on the shoulders to achieve a chic cover-up while the basket bag brings a fresh springy twist to the look and it matches the vintage belt.
This outfit would be great for a Sunday brunch with the girls...keep it there, we will go back to our beloved weekend's traditions soon!
A sheer leopard t-shirt + a moto leather jacket over it would usually belong to the casual realm of fashion but the black heeled sandals bring immediately the whole look to the next level. I don't usually wear heels...I can walk on them but I found them very uncomfortable, especially here in London as I don't have a car.
I own only 3 pairs, one for every season: the red court shoes above, the sandals a pair of burgundy boots. I wear them only for a special occasion such as events, weddings or romantic dates with my boyfriend, who by the way, loved this rather sexy look!
If the biker cut of the jacket doesn't fly your boat, a cool alternative would be an oversized black leather blazer. Personally, I would never get rid of my cropped leather jacket (which is probably one of the oldest pieces in my wardrobe), I just love it and I got a lot of wear out of it!
For those afraid of height a more manageable heel from Arket
